Henry Cavill, the dashing star of Superman fame, is expecting his first child with Hollywood executive Natalie Viscuso, and they couldn’t be happier. However, as their love grows, friends and family are urging Henry to step up and propose to Natalie, breaking his long-standing reputation for being hesitant about long-term commitments.

Insiders reveal that even as Henry and Natalie move forward with plans for their growing family and potential business collaborations, the 41-year-old actor still maintains a strong connection to his independent lifestyle. “Henry has one foot firmly planted in his hobbies and passions,” a close source exclusively tells Closer. “He’s also very clear about wanting England, not Los Angeles, to remain his permanent home base.”

Henry and Natalie: A Love Story

The couple went public with their relationship in April 2021, shortly after being spotted enjoying a romantic stroll together in London. Natalie, a television executive at Vertigo Entertainment, is based in Los Angeles, where she worked on Prime Video’s hit series Them: Covenant. She previously worked at Legendary Entertainment, the production company behind Henry’s blockbuster films Man of Steel (2013) and Enola Holmes (2020).

While the couple prefers to keep their romance private, they announced the exciting news of their impending parenthood at the New York City premiere of Henry’s film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare in April.

Long-Distance Love

“A lot of this relationship has been managed over long distances because Henry values his independence and bachelor lifestyle,” the insider explains. “But he also has a deep bond with his extended family in England, who remain an important part of his life.”

The couple made their first official red carpet appearance more than a year after going public, at the April 2022 premiere of Enola Holmes 2. Natalie has been incredibly patient with Henry, but sources say she’s waiting for him to take the next big step by proposing and setting a wedding date.

Why the Delay?

“Henry is known for doing things at his own pace and carefully considering every decision, but that doesn’t fully explain why he hasn’t taken the leap Natalie clearly desires,” the source adds. “She’s confident and secure in herself, but Henry’s deliberate approach to their relationship has left her feeling a bit restless.”

Before Natalie, Henry was romantically linked to Kaley Cuoco, Tara King, and Lucy Cork. After going public with Natalie, Henry addressed public speculation about his personal life in an Instagram post in May 2021. “While I appreciate the passion and support from those speculating, it’s reached a point where I felt compelled to speak up, which is unfortunate,” he wrote. “To those expressing dissatisfaction in various ways, it’s time to stop.”

He continued, “Speculating and gossiping might be fun, but it can harm the people I care about most. Your passion is misplaced.”
