Hoda Kotb Goes All Out with Her Final Halloween Costume on 'Today'

As Hoda Kotb prepares to wave goodbye to her role on the Today show, she made her last Halloween appearance unforgettable by pulling out all the stops with her costume. During the lively plaza celebration on Thursday, October 31, Hoda, along with her co-host Jenna Bush Hager, turned heads with an epic costume choice that had fans buzzing.

At 60 years young, Hoda channeled the iconic Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson from Titanic, while Jenna, 42, transformed into the timeless Kate Winslet as Rose DeWitt Bukater. The dynamic duo recreated the famous "flying" scene from the movie, bringing the magic of the Titanic to the Today plaza and delighting everyone in attendance.

A Titanic Moment: Hoda and Jenna's Heartfelt Performance

As they stood on the edge of a mock boat set, Jenna, in full Rose mode, declared with heartfelt emotion, "I trust you Jack, I trust you with my whole heart." Hoda, fully immersed in her Jack Dawson role, responded with, "Do you promise?" before adding, "Rose, I love you, step up here." The chemistry between the two was palpable as Jenna exclaimed, "I'm flying!" to which Hoda replied with Jack's famous line, "I'm king of the world!" The audience erupted in cheers, celebrating the momentous occasion.

A New Chapter Awaits Hoda Kotb

This year's Halloween celebration holds extra significance for Hoda, as it marks her last with her Today colleagues before her departure in early 2025. The broadcaster recently relocated to a new neighborhood with her daughters, Haley and Hope, where she's eagerly embracing suburban life and all its festive traditions.

"Halloween is so fun in the suburbs," Hoda enthusiastically shared on Today With Hoda & Jenna on October 18. "We used to go trick-or-treating at CVS and the dry cleaners and [a nail salon]. ... My kids thought trick-or-treating was walking into a store and having the lady behind the counter put some [candy] in your bag." Now, she's excited to experience the suburban version of the holiday, complete with elaborate decorations and community parades.

"Everywhere I look in our town, [there's] those big spiderwebs, all the things," Hoda added. "They have parades. They said, 'Your kid needs three Halloween costumes or else the first one’s gonna get all ruined.'" After her final bow on the Today show this Halloween, Hoda plans to head home and enjoy the festivities with her family, including block parties and extended celebrations.

Memories to Treasure: Last Year's Tribute to Sonny and Cher

Recalling last year's Halloween celebration, Hoda and Jenna dressed as the legendary duo Sonny and Cher. They took the stage to lip-sync their timeless hit, "I Got You Babe." It's moments like these that will leave a lasting impression on Hoda's colleagues and fans alike.
