There’s a simple two-part vaccination that can help prevent it. “I was shocked to learn that nearly all adults over 50 already carry the virus that causes shingles inside their bodies,” says Brooke. “Not everyone will get it, but why take the chance? We want to encourage women to talk to their doctors or pharmacists about their risks and the vaccination options available.”
Brooke Shields Finds New Purpose in Life
After three decades of marriage to writer-producer Chris Henchy and watching her daughters grow into independent young women, Brooke realized her life had taken a significant turn. “Suddenly, I had all this time,” she reflects. “It was a moment of clarity. I started asking myself, ‘What do I want?’ I looked in the mirror and saw how much I’ve overcome. That’s where my courage comes from—my resilience.”
