She wrote on her Instagram post, “These kiddos are bound for the Burbs! 👋 I got a call in July of 2022 from @bteta44 that I’d been named co-host of @theviewabc.” With barely a month’s notice, she and Justin packed up their lives in DC and headed straight to NYC. Now, after two years of Upper East Side adventures, they’re making their way to their forever home in the NYC suburbs. “Thanks for the memories, Upper East Side!” she joyfully exclaimed.

Alyssa, who’s only 35, opened up about this major life event, which happened to coincide with none other than President Joe Biden's visit to the show. Talk about a hectic but memorable day! “I’m officially in the burbs! We had our movers there until 8:30 last night,” she recounted on The View’s “Behind the Table” podcast on September 26. She explained how her day was jam-packed with both professional and personal responsibilities. “So literally my day was morning rush here, get here early, interview the president of the United States, you know get all the feedback while physically moving into my new house,” she said with a mix of excitement and relief. “I’m so excited. I’m so happy.”
A Husband Who’s Got Her Back
Alyssa couldn’t help but express her gratitude for her husband, Justin, who played a pivotal role in making this transition as smooth as possible. “He managed 99 percent of the moving because I had to be here,” she revealed. Justin was nothing short of supportive, even encouraging her to prioritize her work over rushing home. “He was like, ‘This is a huge day; you have the president. Just focus, don’t rush home,’” Alyssa shared, clearly touched by his understanding and encouragement.
Alyssa also shared a funny story about Justin helping her organize her closet. “I’m not good at a lot of the girl things,” she admitted with a laugh. “But he sent me a picture. He’s like, ‘Hey, I ended up moving a few things ‘cause I thought this would work better for you.’ And I was like, ‘Stop.’”

She went on to stress the importance of having a partner who supports and believes in your dreams. “Everyone needs a partner who supports you, and believes in your dreams, and will step in for you when you need coverage,” Alyssa expressed. It’s clear that Justin fits that description perfectly.
Alyssa and Justin tied the knot in November 2021 after getting engaged in July 2020. On their first wedding anniversary, she paid a heartfelt tribute to her husband on Instagram. “Happy 1st anniversary to my amazing husband, @justinpgriffin,” she wrote alongside a beautiful photo from their wedding day. “Thank you for supporting me through all the adventures this life together has brought us. I’m so proud of you. Thank you for being the most amazing partner I could have dreamt up.”
And let’s not forget about their furry family member! Alyssa revealed that their dog is already loving the new home. “He was zooming in the lawn,” she said with a smile, highlighting the joy that their new surroundings bring to their entire family.
