Fans Respond with Love and Appreciation
Understandably, the fans responded in droves with heartfelt comments, acknowledging the impact the show has had on their lives. One commenter wrote, "My family loves your family... we have watched you from day one, and now the end has come, and it's sad. Every week seeing all of you has been amazing. We wish all of you well in your future endeavors. My family will always admire the Reagan family. Growing up the way I did, watching Reagan's week after week, I wished I had your family." Another fan echoed the sentiment, expressing disappointment in the show's end. "What a mistake for CBS to end this beautiful show!" they exclaimed. "We are going to feel the loss of The Reagan Family like losing a loved friend. Reruns here we come! Thank you for such an intelligent and heartwarming show!"
Many fans, like one who commented, are holding out hope for more. "I am so sad and still holding out hope there will be another season," they wrote. "I have watched from beginning to end, and it is one of the best shows on television! Thank you for giving us a great 14 seasons." These messages reflect the profound connection viewers have formed with the characters and stories over the years.

Adding a creative twist to her farewell, Vanessa, 43, shared an alternate ending she crafted for her character. In a story published by Entertainment Weekly, she envisioned a sunnier future for Eddie and Jamie. "Blue Bloods: Boca. Eddie and Jamie have had enough of the NYC winters and scratchy uniforms," she humorously suggested. "So they relocate to Boca Raton, Fla. (with the family’s blessing, of course, it’s a three-hour easy flight home!), where Eddie gets promoted to detective and moonlights performing her one-woman show 'You Have the Tight to Remain Fabulous: A Cop Cabaret.'"
Be sure to tune in to the 'Blue Bloods' series finale on Friday, December 13, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS, where the Reagan family's legacy will come to a close in a way that fans won't soon forget.
