Let’s talk about Jenna Bush Hager, the beloved co-host of "Today with Hoda & Jenna." Recently, she dropped some surprising news about her family. Jenna revealed that her husband, Henry Hager, has laid down the law when it comes to their daughter Mila visiting the set of "Today." Apparently, Mila, who is 11 years old, has expressed a strong desire to co-host the morning show with Jenna, especially after Hoda Kotb's departure. But guess what? Mila’s dad has put his foot down. Jenna shared this revelation with E! News, adding a twist that makes you want to hear more.
Now, here's the kicker. During one of her recent interviews, Jenna joked about saying something "very controversial" that led to Henry's decision to impose a "lifetime ban" on Mila returning to the set. Jenna continued with a laugh, “We’ll see if that’s lifted maybe for bring your kids to work day. But she hasn’t always been the most supportive, let’s just say that.” Sounds like a playful family dynamic, doesn't it?
Interestingly, Jenna went on to say that Mila is the only one among her three children who has shown any real interest in following in her footsteps. “They’re not exactly jumping at the chance, but I may have to push them a little—just like I’ve done my whole life,” Jenna joked, revealing her parenting style with a wink.

For context, Jenna and Henry, who is 46, are proud parents of three children: Mila, Poppy (9 years old), and Hal (5 years old). While Jenna isn't exactly sure who will step into Hoda’s big shoes permanently, she did share some wisdom Hoda imparted before her final episode on January 10. Jenna reflected on the incredible lessons she's learned from Hoda over the years. “This is such good parenting advice: Our kids don’t just listen to what we say, they watch us,” Jenna said. “And I’ve had the privilege of watching her. She’s the best. She’s the most empathetic person I know. She taught me how to really listen, how to be present with our guests. But she’s also so much fun. Fun is underrated, and I think that’s our mantra. We’re going to have a lot of fun. And I think people want that.”
Temporary Co-Hosts Bring Excitement to the Show
Before the permanent replacement for Hoda is announced, Jenna will be co-hosting segments with some big-name celebrity guests, including the stunning Eva Longoria and the talented Scarlett Johansson. “Scarlett Johansson is the best,” Jenna gushed about her temporary co-host. “All of the women who have said yes are like dream guests. So the fact that they’re willing to host, which is hard work, means so much to me, especially when the world feels tough. They’re leaving their homes to be with us. We do not take that lightly. And we’re so excited.”

A Heartfelt Goodbye to Hoda
Viewers couldn’t help but feel the emotion as Jenna and Hoda shared a heartfelt moment during the January 10 episode. Jenna took a moment to thank Hoda for teaching her “how to say goodbye with grace.” Jenna’s words were filled with gratitude and nostalgia as she reflected on their incredible journey together. “Five years… more than 1500 shows… 90,000 hours… 9,000 commercial breaks filled with Shaboozey, Beyoncé, and constant laughter and soul-affirming conversations. From Vegas to NOLA (three times!) from Austin to Quebec… to our home—this home Studio 1A which will always be ours. Mine and yours,” Jenna said.
As Jenna reminisced about all the life changes they experienced together, both on and off the show, she couldn’t help but praise Hoda for her incredible tenure on "Today." “This isn’t just any Hodini… driving off with my purse still in your car—you have been able to sit in the glow of the goodbye! Viewers have traveled miles from other states to declare their love on poster boards, every single guest has gotten to share their ‘Hoda story’—how you have made them feel seen and heard,” Jenna said. “Thank you, Hoda, for everything you have taught me, everything you’ve given me: all the hugs, all the heart, all the laughs, all the love.”
