Love Finds Jane Seymour When She Least Expected It
When Jane Seymour was introduced to John Zambetti on a blind date over a year ago, the last thing on her mind was finding love again. After four marriages that didn’t quite stick, Jane was convinced her days of romance were behind her. “I’m done with guys, it’s not happening,” she firmly declared. But then along came John—an ER doctor by day and a musician by night—who swept her off her feet with his heartfelt music.
“He wrote two songs for me before we even started dating officially,” Jane, now 73, revealed exclusively to Closer during the American Ballet Theatre annual holiday benefit in Beverly Hills on December 16, 2024. “He sent them via text, and let me tell you, it was magical. I couldn’t stop smiling, and my girlfriends were going wild! It was like something out of a movie.” The legendary star of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman joked that the only real tension between them arises when they debate who’s the better doctor. “But honestly, it’s all in good fun,” she added with a laugh.
A Musical Connection That Stole Her Heart
John’s musical talents proved to be the key to Jane’s heart. One time, after a minor accident where he fell and cut his head, John tried to take charge of his own medical care. “He started telling me how I should clean the wound,” Jane recounted with a chuckle. “And I just looked at him and said, ‘Excuse me? I’m a doctor! I know what I’m doing!’” The couple’s playful banter highlights the genuine connection they’ve built, proving that love can strike at any age—and often in the most unexpected ways.
