Ozzy Osbourne Talks Death, Says He 'Won't Be Here Much Longer'

Let's talk about a legend who's been through the ringer but still stands tall. Ozzy Osbourne, the one and only Prince of Darkness, is currently focused on his health, but guess what? He's not letting it dampen his spirits or cloud his outlook on the future. At 71 years old, Ozzy is as unshaken as ever.

Living Each Day to the Fullest

When asked about his thoughts on mortality, Ozzy shared with Kerrang magazine in a candid interview, "Do I ever think about when my time’s gonna come? I think about it; I don’t worry about it." With a wisdom that only comes from years of living life on the edge, he added, "I won’t be here in another 15 years or whatever, not that much longer, but I don’t dwell on it. It’s gonna happen to us all." This acceptance is particularly striking given his recent revelation about battling Parkinson’s disease.

Health Challenges Haven't Slowed Him Down

Ozzy has faced a whirlwind of health issues lately, from severe back injuries to dealing with phenomena. Despite these setbacks, he remains resilient. "Am I happy now? No. I haven’t got my health," he admitted. "That thing knocked the s–t out of me, man, but I’m still here." Interestingly, Ozzy revealed that he worries about death less now than he did in his younger days. "I just try to enjoy things as much as possible, even though that’s so fucking hard sometimes," he confessed.

  • And enjoy he does. Even amidst his health struggles, Ozzy is hard at work on his 12th studio album, set for release in 2020. "If you saw me at the beginning of last year, you’d think I was f–ked," he told Kerrang. "But I honestly think making this album is the best medicine I could have had. I was doing something, something I like to do. I wish I could do more, but it just felt great."

A Rocky Road, but Still Standing

Ozzy has never shied away from discussing his health issues openly. Earlier this month, during an interview with Good Morning America, he opened up about the aftermath of a serious fall that left him hospitalized. "It was the worst, longest, most painful, miserable year of my life," he revealed. Recalling the incident, he explained, "When I had the fall, it was pitch black. I went to the bathroom and I fell. I just fell and landed like a slam on the floor, and I remember lying there thinking, 'Well, you’ve done it now,' really calm. My wife Sharon Osbourne called an ambulance. After that, it was all downhill."

Through it all, Ozzy's determination shines brightly. His ability to rise above adversity and continue doing what he loves is nothing short of inspiring. Even with everything he's been through, his spirit remains unbroken, proving that the Prince of Darkness is far from backing down anytime soon.
