A Hollywood Love Story: Henry Winkler and Stacey Weitzman
Here's something we all know: "Behind every successful man is a strong woman." And let me tell you, this saying fits Henry Winkler like a glove. The legendary Happy Days star has been married to his wife, Stacey Weitzman, for decades now. Yep, since 1978, these two have been Hollywood’s definition of a power couple. At 74, Henry is still shining bright in the entertainment world, but none of it would be the same without Stacey by his side.
Henry may be the one in the spotlight, known for his incredible performances in countless blockbusters, but Stacey has been the rock in the background. While she’s not one to hog the limelight, she’s been there for every major moment, supporting her husband in every way possible. Over the years, she’s made appearances alongside him at a few events, showing just how much she cares about her man. But their story isn’t just about fame—it’s about love, family, and everything in between.
The Beginning: How They Met and Fell in Love

Let’s rewind to the 1970s in Los Angeles, where Henry and Stacey's love story began. Picture this: Henry, the star of Barry, was shopping for a sport coat at a local store. Little did he know, this store was a client of Stacey’s PR firm. When Henry needed a little help with his shopping, Stacey stepped in. Fast forward a bit, and when he came back to pick up his jacket, he asked her out. And just like that, the rest is history!

A Family Built on Love and Support
Henry and Stacey didn’t waste any time making their relationship official. They tied the knot on May 5, 1978, and soon after, they welcomed their first child. Their daughter, Zoe Emily Winkler, was born in 1980, followed by their son Max Winkler in 1983. Stacey is also the proud mother of her son Jed Weitzman from a previous marriage.
While Stacey may not have been in the spotlight as much as Henry, she’s had her fair share of acting credits. Although she chose to be a stay-at-home mom to give her kids a normal upbringing while Henry supported the family with his iconic career, she still managed to appear in a few productions. According to IMDb, she lent her voice to As Told by Ginger and even had a role in The Touch.
Through Thick and Thin: Supporting Each Other
There’s no doubt that Stacey has been Henry’s biggest supporter, but the love goes both ways. When Stacey battled breast cancer, Henry was right there by her side. Diagnosed in 1998, Stacey quickly went into remission. Unfortunately, the cancer returned in 2001. But Stacey, being the fighter she is, underwent a double mastectomy and has been living cancer-free ever since. In fact, she looked absolutely stunning when she joined Henry at the 2019 Emmy Awards.
