Sharon Osbourne Shares Heartwarming Story Of Ozzy's New Quarantine Companion, Reba

Hey there! Let me tell you a heartwarming story about Sharon Osbourne and her husband Ozzy Osbourne, who just adopted a new furry family member. In the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, the legendary couple welcomed a little rescue dog named Reba into their home. Sharon, the lively cohost of The Talk, introduced the adorable new addition to her Instagram followers on Thursday, May 7, with a post that melted hearts across the globe.

Ozzy Osbourne's New Best Friend

Sharon, 67, couldn’t contain her excitement as she gushed about their new family member. “Another member of our family tree. Meet Reba and hear the story of how she came to be!” she wrote alongside a video clip showing her cuddling the fluffy white Bichon Frise pup during quarantine. In the video, Sharon shared the heartwarming tale of how Reba found her way into their famous family. It’s a story that’ll warm your heart and remind you of the power of second chances.

Reba's Journey to Fame

“Hi everyone, this is Reba,” Sharon said in the video, introducing the sweet pup. “Reba comes from Houston, and Ozzy, through a friend of ours, Jane, who runs a dog rescue in Houston, brought some doggies down for Ozzy, and he chose Reba.” Sharon then revealed the heartbreaking backstory of how Reba had been abandoned in a plastic bag on the side of the road in Texas. But don’t worry—this is where the story takes a turn for the better. “She is now living the life in Los Angeles with me and the former Black Sabbath frontman, Ozzy, 71,” Sharon said with a loving smile. “Aren’t you, Reba?” she sweetly asked the little Bichon Frise. “She’s become the queen of the house. She’s a naughty girl, but we love her anyway.” Aww, right?

It seems like little Reba came into the Osbourne family’s life at just the right time. Back in late April, Ozzy’s son, Jack Osbourne, opened up about how his dad was coping with the challenges of quarantine. “He’s a little depressed because he can’t do anything … and he’s fallen victim to watching the news all day,” the Portals to Hell star, 34, shared with ET at the time. Jack gave his dad some much-needed advice: “Dude, turn that crap off. Watch a little bit in the morning, a little bit at night. Get the broad strokes, but let’s unplug the IV of news right now.”

    Ozzy's Health Battle

Ozzy is at a higher risk of contracting coronavirus due to his Parkinson’s diagnosis. Despite the isolation at home, Jack said the Grammy Award-winning rock legend, who also shares daughters Aimee Osbourne, 36, and Kelly Osbourne, 35, with Sharon, “is doing pretty good” otherwise. “Here’s the thing, I am not letting a disease started by bats kill my dad. That’s not how this is going, OK?” Jack joked, referencing the infamous time Ozzy bit off a bat’s head during a Black Sabbath concert in 1982. “This is not some giant revenge plot from bats to get my dad back.”

On top of Ozzy’s heartbreaking battle with Parkinson’s, the British entertainer has faced a slew of health issues in the last few years. In November 2019, he suffered a tragic fall at his home that required months of rehab following a serious surgery. He also battled pneumonia, had a separate operation for an infection in his hand, and another hospitalization for complications from the flu. But with the love and support of his family—and the playful antics of Reba—we bet this little pup is going to cheer him up in no time!
