There’s nothing quite like the magic of Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa together. These two have become the ultimate dynamic duo, bringing laughter, warmth, and a touch of nostalgia to our screens. Recently, Ryan took a trip down memory lane with a hilarious throwback photo of the two of them posing in oversized sunglasses, a look that was definitely more Kelly's style than his.
A Blast From the Past: Ryan’s Throwback Photo
In a classic move that only Ryan could pull off, he posted a fun snap on Instagram from what looks like the early days of their partnership. Ryan, who is known for his sharp style, hilariously admitted in the caption, “Back when oversized sunglasses were a trend that I couldn’t pull off. #SunglassesDay.” At 45, Ryan still has that playful charm that keeps fans coming back for more. The photo quickly went viral, with one fan commenting, “Cutest TV couple,” while another chimed in, “It’s still in trend. Love it.”

Behind the Scenes: The Bond That Keeps ‘Live’ Alive
Since Ryan joined the iconic show Live with Kelly and Ryan back in 2017, the chemistry between the two has been undeniable. For Kelly, working with Ryan is like collaborating with an old friend. “I get to work with one of my very best friends,” the proud mom of three—Michael Consuelos, 23, Lola Consuelos, 19, and Joaquin Consuelos, 17—told People in an interview. “We have that backstage connection where it’s like, ‘I’ve got a story for you.’”
Ryan echoed her sentiments, adding, “What’s great about this show is that it’s very relaxed. It allows us to present a show that’s accessible to the audience. We want them to feel like, even if they’ve never met us, they know us.” Their genuine connection makes every episode feel like a cozy chat with your favorite people.
Adapting to Change: Filming During a Pandemic
Even when life threw them a curveball during the coronavirus pandemic, Ryan and Kelly proved that their bond is unbreakable. Filming from separate locations, Kelly in the Caribbean with her family and Ryan in America with his girlfriend, Shayna Taylor, they’ve managed to keep the show running smoothly. Kelly, ever the multitasker, has even taken on the role of hairstylist and makeup artist, sharing her creative process with viewers.

“I’m just a girl trying to put on a TV show through the computer!” Kelly joked during one episode, showing off her freshly dyed hair. “These little clips, and you can see I’ve sprayed them brown too, these little clips really like, hold the grey.”

Her daughter, Lola, has also stepped up to help in quarantine. With a dwindling wardrobe, Kelly resorted to borrowing from her daughter’s closet. “I’m now in my daughter’s clothes,” she laughed in April. “It’s gone there.”
But no matter what Kelly does, Ryan will always have her back—and think she looks amazing doing it.
