In a heartfelt message to her fans, expecting mom Meghan McCain has shared her reasons for keeping her first pregnancy under wraps. The View co-host, who is about five months into her pregnancy, revealed that she and her husband have decided to keep their baby-to-be away from the chaos of social media. This decision comes after Meghan received hurtful comments about her late father, Senator John McCain.

Meghan McCain's Candid Explanation

Meghan McCain, now 35, took to Instagram to explain why she and her husband, Ben Domenech, have chosen to protect their growing family's privacy. In her candid post from Thursday, May 28, she wrote, "Ben and I have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) family’s privacy as much as is possible." Meghan emphasized that she believes children have a right to privacy and hopes her followers will understand and respect her choice to keep things private for the sake of her family's comfort and safety.

Meghan, who announced her pregnancy with Ben in late March, decided to address the situation because her followers have been asking for updates and photos. While she understands the curiosity, she explained that some people on social media have made it difficult for her to share personal details. "A bunch of inhumane jackasses have really ruined so much for so many on social media," she said, recalling the harsh comments she received about her late father, Senator John McCain, who passed away in August 2018.
