Could Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin be thinking about expanding their family again? Despite the fact that the couple, made up of the yoga instructor and the 30 Rock star, just welcomed their fifth child in early September, it seems they're not ruling out the possibility of another addition to their growing family.
Is Another Baby on the Way?
“Maybe,” Hilaria, 36, told Us Weekly when asked about the idea of having more kids with Alec, 62, on Thursday, October 1. “We’ll see.” The couple has their hands full with their five children, but the idea of a sixth seems to be something they’re open to discussing. Hilaria’s response gives fans a glimpse into the couple's thoughts about their future family life.
What the Kids Think
While Hilaria and Alec might still be weighing their options, their children are already envisioning the idea of a new sibling. The Living Clearly Method author shared that their kids, Carmen, 7, Rafael, 5, Leonardo, 4, Romeo, 2, and newborn baby Eduardo, are already buzzing with excitement over the possibility of a new baby brother or sister.

“My kids are like, ‘Mommy, [do] you have a baby in your belly?’” Hilaria explained, her voice filled with amusement. “I was like, ‘Absolutely not.’ [Eduardo is] three weeks old, absolutely not right now.” The kids are clearly eager for another addition, but Hilaria is making sure they understand that there's no baby on the way just yet.
Adjusting to Life with Baby Eduardo
Since baby Eduardo arrived on September 8, Hilaria and Alec have been adjusting to life as a family of seven. Hilaria, who co-hosts the “Mom Brain” podcast, said that Alec is doing “fine” with the new addition. While the baby sleeps in the room, Alec gets to witness all the times Hilaria wakes up, but she hasn’t asked him to do much yet.
“I’ll go down and feed the dogs and make my coffee, and I’ll have him hold the baby for, like, seven minutes when the baby starts screaming because he realizes I’ve left them too far away from its food source,” Hilaria joked. “Alec has a very cushy life with me as a mommy because I’m not asking him to do anything.” The couple seems to be finding a rhythm that works for them, even amidst the chaos of a growing family.
Alec's Take on Expanding the Family
While Hilaria seems open to the idea of another baby, Alec offered a slightly different take during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in late September. The Hollywood star joked that he’s “done trying” for another baby girl after having four boys.
“I’m not gonna keep trying,” Alec teased, adding a humorous solution to their predicament. “My wife’s gonna get remarried. She’s going to marry a guy who produces a girl.” Despite his playful remarks, Alec insisted he’s content being a dad of six, but admitted that the desire for more kids could return when the time feels right.
“When the baby gets to be three years old and they’re not vending machines of joy that you get used to, we look at each other and say, ‘Time to have another baby!’” Alec quipped. It seems that the couple is open to the idea of expanding their family, but only when the timing feels right.
