Archie's New Role: Big Brother To Lilibet Diana

Meghan and Harry’s Son Archie 'Bonding’ With Little Sister Lili

Hey there, friends! Let’s talk about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s little family, because they’ve got some exciting new dynamics going on. Archie, who just turned two, has officially stepped into the role of big brother after the arrival of his little sister, Lilibet "Lili" Diana, born on June 4. If you’re wondering how he’s handling this big change, well, an insider tells Closer that Archie is absolutely smitten with his baby sister. He’s “obsessed” with her, and it’s clear this little family is thriving in their new chapter.

Here’s something pretty cool: Archie was front and center when the family of four introduced Lili to her great-grandma, Queen Elizabeth, over Zoom. The toddler was right there, soaking it all in. “They’ve introduced Lili to the queen over Zoom, and Archie was there too,” the source shares. “He adores his great-grandma. Harry and Meghan are making sure Archie doesn’t feel left out, and honestly, they don’t have to worry. He’s really connecting with the baby.”

Archie's Heart is All In

Archie is beyond thrilled to be a big brother, and it’s clear he’s forming a deep bond with Lili. “Archie is so excited about being a big brother and loves her to bits,” the insider adds. The two siblings, so close in age, are set to grow up with a wonderful connection. Archie just celebrated his second birthday on May 6, making this a special year of transitions for the little guy. Born at London’s Portland Hospital while his parents were still working members of the British Royal Family, Archie’s life has been nothing short of extraordinary.

    Support System: Doria Ragland’s Role

While Archie’s cousins and extended family remain in England, he’s been fortunate to have his grandma, Doria Ragland, right there in Montecito. Doria has been a constant presence since before Meghan became a mom again. Meghan, 39, delivered Lili at Santa Barbara’s Cottage Hospital, making her a true Californian like her actress mom.

“Doria has been staying with Harry and Meghan at their Montecito home since just before the birth,” another source shares with Closer. “She’s such a natural at being a grandmother and loves being with Archie and now Lili too. She thinks the world of her Lili.”

    Harry’s Helping Hands

Even though Doria’s got her hands full with two little ones and helping Meghan, she’s still finding time to connect with Harry. He’s been doing his best to support Meghan as she rests and recovers from giving birth. “I wouldn’t say that Harry is the world’s greatest chef, but he tries. He’s been picking fruit and vegetables from their garden, and Doria’s been helping him cook organic meals for Meghan,” the insider explains.

Since Meghan, 39, is breastfeeding baby Lili, it’s crucial for her to maintain a healthy diet. The source adds that the Duke of Sussex, 36, and his mother-in-law, 64, are ensuring Meghan gets plenty of rest. With two small children, including an infant, it’s safe to say rest might be in short supply, but they’re doing their best to prioritize it.
