Kirstie Alley, beloved by fans around the world for her unforgettable performances on screen, is survived by her two cherished adopted children, Lillie Price Stevenson and William True Stevenson. Lillie and William, whose middle name he prefers to use, were born to Kirstie and her second ex-husband, Parker Stevenson.

In a deeply moving tribute, Lillie and William shared a heartfelt message on their mom’s Instagram page, honoring her life and memory. "To all our friends, near and far across the globe, we are heartbroken to share that our incredible, fearless, and loving mother has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, which was only recently discovered," they wrote. "She left this world surrounded by her closest family, fighting with immense strength, giving us the certainty of her unwavering joy for living and the adventures that lie ahead. Our mom was just as legendary in real life as she was on-screen, if not more so, as a mother and grandmother." The siblings also mentioned Kirstie’s adoration for her grandchildren.

“We are endlessly grateful to the exceptional team of doctors and nurses at the Moffitt Cancer Center for their compassionate care during this difficult time. Mom’s boundless zest for life, her deep love for her children, grandchildren, and her many animals, along with her eternal passion for creativity, inspired us to embrace life to its fullest, just as she did,” the statement continued. “We thank you for your love and prayers and kindly ask for respect for our privacy as we navigate this incredibly challenging period.”

Kirstie Alley and Parker Stevenson: A Family Built on Love and Adoption

Back in the early '90s, Kirstie Alley, a proud native of Wichita, Kansas, and her then-husband, Hardy Boys actor Parker Stevenson, decided to grow their family through adoption. In October 1992, they welcomed their son William into their lives, followed closely by daughter Lillie in 1995. Although Kirstie and Parker’s marriage ended in 1997, their bond as parents remained strong. They never had biological children together, though Kirstie experienced the heartbreak of a miscarriage during their time together.

Before Parker, Kirstie was married to Bob Alley from 1970 to 1977. Despite their years together, the couple never had children, making her journey with Parker all the more meaningful as she built a family rooted in love and adoption.

Kirstie Alley: A Grandmother Who Cherished Every Moment

Kirstie’s joy knew no bounds when she became a grandmother. In June 2016, she proudly announced the arrival of her first grandchild, Waylon Tripp Parker, William’s son. “When your son has a son … bliss … yes this is my secret happy news as promised … Welcome Waylon Tripp Parker,” she gleefully tweeted, sharing a tender black-and-white photo of William cradling his newborn son.

Not one to hold back her excitement, Kirstie quickly followed up with another post, showcasing her pride as a grandmother. “Just GOTTA send one more … proud Gammy,” she wrote, capturing the essence of her doting nature. Her family grew even larger when Lillie gave birth to her son, Ripp Woodrow Graham, in May 2021, with her partner, Chaffee Burkhart Graham. This made Kirstie a grandmother for the second time, a role she embraced with open arms.

Throughout her life, Kirstie remained committed to her role as a mother, often putting her family first, even amid her busy career. “My best quality is that I’m a good mother,” she once told People magazine in a 2006 interview, a testament to her dedication and love for her children.
