Scott Hamilton, the legendary figure skater, shares an unbreakable bond with his wife, Tracie Hamilton (née Robinson). This couple has faced life’s challenges head-on, from personal triumphs to health battles, all while raising their remarkable family together.
Scott Hamilton’s Wedding Day: A Love Story
Back in 2001, Scott Hamilton and Tracie Robinson sealed their love with an engagement. The couple then tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony held in 2002 at the stunning Stone Manor Estate in Malibu. Before walking down the aisle, Scott had already carved his name into the history books as one of the world's best figure skaters. He earned a gold medal at the 1984 Olympics, becoming famous for his signature backflip—a move so iconic that the International Skating Union officially sanctioned it. But even with all his success on the ice, Scott’s true strength has been his partnership with Tracie.

Who Is the Woman Behind the Medal? Meet Tracie Hamilton
Tracie, Scott’s rock, has a background in nutrition, having worked as a coordinator for Whole Foods Market Inc. But her role as Scott’s wife goes far beyond her professional accomplishments. When Scott faced a brain tumor diagnosis in 2004, Tracie stood by him, unwavering in her support. The tumor returned in 2010 and again in 2016, but Tracie’s strength never wavered.
After the third recurrence of his brain tumor, Scott decided not to rush into treatment. In February 2024, he opened up to People magazine about his decision. “When they told me it was back, it hit me hard,” he recalled. “But this young, brilliant surgeon came in and said, ‘We can do this again. It’s complicated, but with the right team, we can pull it off.’”

In 2014, Scott founded Scott Hamilton CARES, an organization dedicated to funding cancer research. “I never imagined I’d be the one founding a cancer organization that would make such a difference and save lives,” he shared. “And the Olympic gold medal? That opened doors I never dreamed of, allowing me to give back to my sport and create opportunities for some of the greatest skaters in history.”
“And my family? My kids and my wife? None of this feels like something I could’ve dreamed up,” Scott added, his voice filled with gratitude. “It’s been an incredible journey.”
Scott Hamilton’s Family: A House Full of Love
Scott and Tracie have built a beautiful family together, raising four children. They have two biological sons, Aidan and Maxx, and two adopted children, Jean Paul and Evelyne, from Haiti. It’s a family filled with love, laughter, and challenges.
“Building our family has been everything we hoped for,” Tracie told Today in a November 2014 interview. “It’s been beautiful, challenging, amazing, and hard all at the same time. But most of all, it’s been a blessing.”

For Scott, being a father to four children is one of the most rewarding parts of his life. “God had this incredible plan all along,” he told The Tennessean in January 2015. “Looking back, I just smile because all we had to do was trust and follow along.”
