Hey there, fans of home improvement and small-town charm! Erin and Ben Napier, the beloved duo from HGTV's Home Town, are packing up their tools and hitting the road for a fresh adventure. This time, they're leaving their cozy hometown of Laurel, Mississippi, to focus on the third season of Home Town Takeover. It's a new journey filled with fresh challenges and opportunities to transform yet another community into a vibrant place to live.
A New Town, A New Adventure
In this upcoming season, the Napier family is setting their sights on Sebring, Florida. For those who haven’t heard of it, don’t worry—you’re not alone. Sebring is what Ben and Erin affectionately refer to as "beautiful lake city." It's not the bustling tourist hubs of Florida we usually hear about. No, this is the real Florida, the hidden gem kind of place. During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Ben, who's 40, shared his excitement about the new location. "It's a new location and you’ve probably never heard of it because it’s not tourist Florida, which is our favorite Florida," he said with a grin.
What Makes Sebring Special?
Erin, 38, chimed in, emphasizing the unique qualities of Sebring. "It’s off the beaten path. It’s not the beach. It’s not the amusement parks," she explained. This town is a refreshing change from the usual Florida stereotypes, and it’s exactly the kind of place the Napiers thrive in. They're known for breathing life into overlooked towns, and Sebring is the perfect canvas for their next big project.

The Work Ahead
The college sweethearts admit they have their work cut out for them. "It’s a really interesting town that we are really excited about," Ben added. "We are cautiously optimistic about it." But he also acknowledged that producing this show isn't easy. "This show is really hard to make, and we have a lot of special guests coming and a lot of people coming in to help, but there’s going to be a lot of work that’s going to go into it." This season promises to be a challenging yet rewarding journey for the couple.
A Surprise Guest from the Past
And just when fans thought the excitement couldn’t get any better, the duo revealed that someone from Home Town past will be joining Home Town Takeover for the new season. "The real Home Town fans are going to be very excited to see someone who is a part of Takeover season 3," Erin teased. Fans are hoping for the return of Mike Husers, affectionately known as "Mike the Floor Guy," who has been absent from the franchise in recent seasons. Erin addressed his absence in a tweet back in January 2022, stating, "Guys, I know y’all miss Mike. We do too! He’s on a leave of absence caring for a family member with a long-term illness." She reassured fans that the show is in good hands with their new hardwood restoration experts, Terry and Mike.

A Look Back at Previous Seasons
Season 1 of Home Town Takeover took the couple to Wetumpka, Alabama, where they worked tirelessly to restore the town. In season 2, Erin and Ben were joined by HGTV’s Dave and Jenny Marrs to transform Fort Morgan, Colorado. Now, with their sights set on Sebring, the Napiers are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work. Erin and Ben currently reside in Laurel with their two daughters, Helen and Mae. They also own a second country home in Mississippi. After their successful restoration of Laurel on Home Town, Erin and Ben couldn’t imagine a better place to raise their girls.
Erin expressed her hopes for her daughters' future in a December 2021 interview with People. "I want them to travel and see the world, but I want them to come back home and do something important here to really contribute," she said. "If all the young people leave the places that they’re from, that’s when towns die." It’s this dedication to community and preservation that makes the Napier family such beloved figures in the world of home renovation.
