She didn’t just stop at celebrating—she dropped a major announcement about her next album, set to release by the end of this year. Now, that’s what I call making a splash on your birthday!
Patti shared the exciting news with Entertainment Tonight on May 23, saying, “I haven’t had an album out in 20 years, so I’m working on that now. It should be out at the end of this year, and it’s called 8065. Why that name, you ask? Well, because I’m 80 years young and 65 years into my journey in show business. That’s what the project will be called, and that’s also what my tour is named after. 8065—it’s all about celebrating life, music, and the incredible journey I’ve been on.”
On Turning 80: A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Age is just a number, and I’m 80 and still feeling great!”

Patti also reflected on her family, sharing that her sisters didn’t live past 50. “So I was praying to turn 50, really,” she admitted. “And then after that, I prayed for 60, 70, and now 80. I’m truly blessed, and I know it. Every day is a gift, and I’m grateful for every moment.”

Patti also shared one of the biggest lessons she’s learned before turning 80. “I’ve learned to be kind, even when people aren’t kind to me,” she said. “You always take the high road, and I’ve known that for a long time. But as I mature in age, I know how to do it even better now. How to take the high road and meet all of my bad feelings with grace and just pray for those who make me feel less.”
Patti remains optimistic about the future and is ready to inspire millions of fans worldwide. “I just hope to continue living and, as I live, I hope I can inspire and put some good vibes in the air,” she shared. “As I said, I’m working on new music, gonna put some good music in your ears pretty soon, so I’m gonna keep on rolling.”
