For months now, the internet has been buzzing with speculation about the relationship between Only Murders in the Building costars Martin Short and Meryl Streep. "Martin doesn’t feel guilty about moving on," explains the friend. "If anything, he feels a bittersweet guilt that he’s experiencing this new chapter of fame and life without her." It’s a testament to how much he loved Nancy, but also a sign that it’s okay to embrace new beginnings.
“They both find the rumors hilarious,” adds the friend. “They get a real kick out of it and seem to enjoy the playful banter.” There’s no denying the chemistry between them, and while nothing official has been confirmed, their mutual admiration and friendship are undeniable. "They flirt with each other, so who knows where it will lead?" muses the friend. "They’re both single, and they do make an adorable couple."
