The legendary singer took a moment to express his deepest admiration for his wife, Debbie Osmond, on their 42nd wedding anniversary. In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Donny revealed that he's putting pen to paper to write a special song for Debbie, set to feature on his upcoming album. Now that’s what you call devotion!
Donny, who turned 62 this year, shared that despite the pandemic changing their plans, the silver lining has been spending quality time at home with Debbie. “Our anniversary celebration might look a little different this year, but staying at home has given us the chance to connect in ways we haven’t in a while,” he wrote. “Every day I fall more in love with Debbie. She’s my muse, my partner, and my best friend.”
Donny's Song: A Tribute to Debbie
Donny went on to explain that he’s in the middle of crafting a song dedicated to Debbie, and it’s turning out to be the missing piece of his new album. “I’m writing this song about her, and it’s everything I’ve been looking for,” he shared. “The lyrics flow effortlessly because she’s the most beautiful person I know, inside and out. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.”

Accompanying his heartfelt message were four stunning throwback photos of the couple, capturing their timeless bond. Donny and Debbie tied the knot back in 1978 and have five sons: Donald, Jeremy, Brandon, Christopher, and Joshua. “Happy 42nd anniversary to the woman who inspires me every single day,” he concluded. And since we are all getting a little bit of cabin fever, I decided to take my wife out to dinner. But where? Sundance of course. They just started the Sundance Car Cafe. It’s such a brilliant idea. We made reservations, drove up to Sundance, and parked in our reserved parking space that abides by the social distancing restrictions. Our waitress, Lindsay, brought us a menu, and she couldn’t have been nicer. We ordered our food and they brought it right to the car. We had the nicest time eating our dinner, enjoying the scenery and reminiscing about all of the wonderful memories we share at this beautiful place in #Utah – all in the comfort of our car. It was the perfect #DateNight. 😉❤️
Creative Ways to Celebrate
While the Osmonds may not be able to celebrate their anniversary in the usual way due to the ongoing pandemic, they’ve proven that love and creativity can still shine through. Earlier in April, Donny shared how they’ve been enjoying date nights during quarantine. “We all know how cabin fever can creep in,” he wrote on Instagram, “so I decided to take Debbie out for a special dinner. Where? Sundance, of course!”
Sundance Resort, a place where the couple shared their first kiss in 1976, recently launched the Sundance Car Cafe. “It’s such a brilliant idea,” Donny explained. “We made reservations, followed all the social distancing rules, and parked in our reserved spot. Our waitress, Lindsay, was absolutely wonderful. We ordered our food, and they delivered it right to the car. We ate dinner, enjoyed the scenery, and reminisced about all the amazing memories we’ve created there over the years.”
