Donny Osmond Nostalgically Recalls Las Vegas Residency
There’s something about Las Vegas that brings out the nostalgia in everyone, especially for Donny Osmond. The legendary entertainer recently took a trip down memory lane while enjoying a weekend getaway with his wife, Debbie Osmond. During his visit, he couldn’t help but reminisce about the incredible times he and his sister, Marie Osmond, spent performing in the city that never sleeps.
On October 17, Donny, now 62, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram. “Spending a nice weekend in Vegas with Debbie,” he wrote. “Remember the good old days? Seems like forever ago this building looked a little different.” The post not only celebrated his time in Vegas but also highlighted the lasting impact the city has had on his life and career.

Standing in Front of Memories
In his Instagram post, Donny shared a photo of himself standing in front of the Flamingo Hotel & Resort, where he and Marie performed for an impressive 11 years. For over a decade, a massive billboard featuring both of their faces greeted visitors at the casino’s entrance. It’s a visual reminder of the duo’s incredible legacy and the unforgettable performances they brought to Sin City.
Since Donny and Marie officially wrapped their residency in late 2019, fans have been eagerly following updates about the status of their iconic billboard. Just a month after their final performance in November 2019, Donny humorously shared a photo of the faded images of their faces. “The ghost of Donny still remains,” he joked in the caption. While his image had nearly disappeared, his sister’s stunning likeness was still clearly visible, proving that some memories just don’t fade away.
More Than a Decade of Magic
Donny and Marie first graced the Las Vegas stage in 2008. What began as a six-week engagement quickly turned into an epic, decade-long residency. The siblings’ chemistry and charm captivated audiences night after night, making their show a must-see for locals and tourists alike.
Their performances weren’t just about singing and dancing; they were a celebration of family, nostalgia, and pure entertainment. As Donny shared during an appearance on Good Morning America in March 2019, “It’s been rumored that we’re bringing Donny and Marie to an end here in Las Vegas. We’re here to say it’s official.” Despite the bittersweet decision, the duo acknowledged that their time in Vegas had been nothing short of magical.

A Bond That Will Never Be Broken
Though Donny and Marie have moved on to focus on their individual careers, they’ve made it clear that their bond remains unbreakable. In an exclusive interview with Closer Weekly in March 2019, Donny expressed his openness to future collaborations with his sister. “Who knows — maybe sometime in the future we’ll get together again to sing ‘A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock ‘n’ Roll,’” he said. “There’s a bond here that will never be broken.”
For Donny, the memories of Las Vegas will always hold a special place in his heart. And as he continues to thrive in his career, it’s clear that the city that once showcased his talents will always miss him just as much.
