America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel has some exciting insights about his fellow judge Simon Cowell's upcoming wedding to Lauren Silverman. In an exclusive interview with Closer, Howie joked, "All I know is that they’re registered at Target. That’s all I know. I don’t know the location, I don’t know the date, but I’ve been going through the registry, and a lot of it is already gone." Simon's Surprising Journey to Marriage
Though many of Simon’s past relationships flirted with the idea of marriage, he’s never taken the plunge until now. Howie, Simon’s longtime friend and America’s Got Talent co-star, was genuinely surprised when the entertainment mogul decided to give up his bachelor status. “You know, you fall off a bike twice. Anything can happen,” the Deal or No Deal host quips. Lauren has been by Simon’s side through thick and thin, including his recovery from a scary electric bike accident in 2020, where he underwent surgery to have a metal rod placed in his back. In early 2022, Simon suffered another fall but has since made a full recovery.
In a February 2022 interview with Extra, Simon explained the accident: “I was riding my bike… I went around a corner too fast. That was it, knocked myself out. There were some people nearby, thank God, so they stopped the traffic… I was in a bit of a daze… I got back on my bike and drove one-armed back to the house. That’s how nutty I was.” Despite the setbacks, Simon and Lauren’s love story continues to inspire.
